From Farmland to Funerals
Since 1859, Historic Concordia Cemetery has served the people of Western New York during their time of loss, recorded their lives and legacies, and marked their memories and heritages.
Come and learn all about Historic Concordia Cemetery's place in Western New York's story as part of our Erie County Bicentennial celebration. Our roots will be traced from this land being used for farming through its development as a sacred ground that is today the final resting site to over 21,000 people who called this area home. Learn how volunteers saved this once-abandoned cemetery.
We will unveil and dedicate our new historic marker from the Pomeroy Foundation recognizing Concordia's listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
Featuring special guest speakers.
Volunteers will be on hand to help you locate your ancestors' graves.
