Blue Christmas

Thursday, December 16, 2021, 2:30 AM - 3:00 AM

Join us on December 15 for Blue Christmas, A service of wholeness and healing

“Comfort, comfort my people, says God”

There are many moments in our lives when we need comfort. There are tough times when we yearn for consolation. Christmas can be a time for many when we are in need of that reassurance and comfort. We may be grieving the loss of a loved one, struggling with illness, job loss, loneliness, poverty, the loss of community, or you just aren’t ‘feeling it’ and wonder how we’ll get through the holidays. It’s important to recognize the reality of our world and what we’re experiencing at any given time. Life can be hard, which is why it’s important that we can come together and share emotion, free of judgment. Although the idea of a Blue Christmas service may seem like a somber and sad experience, in the end, it’s truly about inspiring hope. And isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

Those looking for comfort, hope, wholeness, and renewal are welcome to join us for a congregation-led time of quiet reflection, meaningful words, and music, all shared in the good news of “God with us: Emmanuel!”
