American Sewing Guild meeting
Mixed media fiber artist Barbara Murak will speak and present a small trunk show of her work at the Buffalo/Niagara chapter of American Sewing Guild’s Annual Tea.
Murak, a renowned member of the Buffalo art community, has exhibited visual art, collages, batiks, quilts, knitted sculptural forms and hand-embroidered pieces in juried shows throughout the world. She is also an artist-in-residence at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, collaborating on quilts and other projects with patients, families, and caregivers.

ASG, a non-profit organization with over 120 chapters throughout the US, is dedicated to promoting the sewing arts to people of all skill levels through educational programs and fellowship. In addition to chapter meetings, the guild also offers daytime and evening small group meetings that focus on garment sewing, machine embroidery/quilting, sewing with a serger, and community service.
